Purchases are processed by Payhip Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom that handles the checkout, payment processing, and applicable VAT on digital products. When you buy, your order data (name, email, billing country, payment method) is processed by Payhip under its own privacy policy, available at payhip.com/privacy. Payhip shares with us the information we need to fulfill your order and provide support, such as your email address and what you bought.
If you request free materials or join our email list, your email address is processed by MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Vilnius, Lithuania), under its privacy policy at mailerlite.com/legal/privacy-policy. We use confirmed opt-in: after you enter your address, we send you one email asking you to confirm it, and you are added to our list only after you click the link in that email. We record the time of your request and of your confirmation as proof that you consented. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you may withdraw your consent at any time with a single click. MailerLite is based in the European Union. Where it uses service providers outside the EU, those transfers are covered by safeguards such as EU standard contractual clauses.
Only if you click "Accept cookies" in our cookie banner, this site loads the Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd). The pixel tells us whether our ads on Facebook and Instagram led to visits and purchases, and it shares data such as your IP address and pages visited with Meta, which may connect it to your Meta account. Details are in Meta's privacy policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy. If you click "Decline," the pixel is never loaded. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser, which makes the banner appear again.
To understand how many people visit this site and which parts of it they use, we run Umami Analytics (Umami Software, Inc., USA). Umami is a privacy-focused analytics service that works without cookies: it stores nothing on your device and does not track you across other websites. It does not create a profile of you, and it never receives your name, email address or order details.
For each visit, Umami records the page viewed, the referring website, and general information such as country, browser, operating system and device type. It also records anonymous events that tell us which parts of the page are used, for example when someone opens a bundle, plays the audiobook sample, or clicks through to the checkout. Your IP address is used only momentarily to work out your approximate country and to recognise repeat page views within a single visit. It is converted into an irreversible hash with a key that changes daily, and the IP address itself is never stored.
Because no information is stored on or read from your device, this analytics does not require cookie consent, and it runs whether or not you accept the cookie banner. The legal basis is our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in understanding and improving our website. Umami processes this data on servers in the United States under a data processing agreement with us; transfers are protected by safeguards such as EU standard contractual clauses. If you would rather not be counted at all, you can object at any time by emailing us at the address in section 16, or by enabling "Do Not Track" or a content blocker in your browser.
The site stores a few small technical values in your browser's local storage: your cookie choice, the state of the launch-offer timer, and whether you have already seen the gift popup. These contain no personal data. The Meta Pixel (see above) sets cookies only with your consent. Our Umami analytics sets no cookies at all and writes nothing to your browser. The Payhip checkout may set cookies that are necessary for processing your payment.
Order and invoice data is kept for as long as German tax and commercial law requires (up to 10 years under § 147 AO). Email list data is kept until you unsubscribe. Support emails are kept only as long as needed to help you. Server logs are kept for a short period for security purposes.
